Meet the Fire Chief

Chief Bryan Ward proudly leads the men and women

of Evesham Fire-Rescue.

Fire Chief Bryan Ward is the Chief of the Department

and is responsible for the daily operations of the

Fire Department reporting directly to the Board of

Fire Commissioners. 

Bryan Ward is a 32 year veteran of the fire service. Chief Ward started his fire service career in 1984 volunteering with the Silver Spring Township Fire Company in Mechanicsburg PA. He also volunteered with the Washington Fire Company in Mechanicsburg. Upon graduating from Kutztown University, PA (1990) he accepted the position of Firefighter/EMT with Evesham Fire-Rescue in July of 1990. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1998, Deputy Chief in 2002, Assistant Chief 2003 and Chief of the Department in 2016.

Chief Ward has two Bachelors degrees, one from Kutztown University (Telecommunications) and the second form the University of Maryland (Fire Science). He received his Masters Degree in Public Safety Administration from Saint Joseph’s University in 2000. Chief Ward is a graduated the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program in 2002.

Chief Ward was one of the original chiefs to help form the Burlington County Technical Rescue Team. This team consists of several different department throughout the county and performs confined space, rope, structural collapse and trench rescues.

Chief Ward is also the Office of Emergency Management Coordinator for Evesham Township. He has been involved with OEM for the township since 1998.

Chief Ward has been a resident of Evesham Township since 1990. He resides in the township with his wife Sandy and his son Justin.
